TSAVORITE (TSAVORITE) chemical name is chrome vanadium calcium aluminum garnet, because contains trace amounts of chromium and vanadium, delicate Emerald Green, pleasing to the eye. Kenya’s Shafe National Park was discovered by geologist Campbell Brydges in the late 1960s. In 1967, he brought it to New York. In the early 1970s, American Jeweler Tiffany & AMP; Co. named the stone “Tsavorite”and introduced it to the world. Safrite is a member of the colorful garnet family of calcium aluminum garnets. With its sheer color, its discovery transformed an obscure town into a vibrant gem trading hub. Only about 2.5% of the rough stones traded are more than 2 carats, and 5 carats or more are rare, while the main stone of Harry Winston’s top Jeweler Butterfly collection is 8.18 carats, in the pure and natural rich green front, even the diamond has become a supporting role.
